Facing plumbing problems in your rental property? Fortunately, it's pretty easy to solve these issues on your own.

Toilets

Is your toilet clogged? You can likely use a plunger to push the clog through the pipe. Simply push your plunger into place over the drain hole and press it up and down rapidly to dislodge anything stuck in the system.

Sinks & Showers

Sink and shower drains often clog due to hair and other debris getting trapped. Visit a local hardware store to purchase drain cleaning tools and liquid cleaners you can use to flush the clog out.

If you're unsuccessful in your attempts, contact us via the portal.

If your power cuts in your home, call your electric company to troubleshoot the problem with them first. There may be known issues impacting your neighborhood or a specific issue with your account could be at fault.

If you don't have hot water in your rental, locate your heating tank and check the settings on it. Does everything look accurate?

If you have a gas-powered hot water heater, is the pilot light lit? Can you reset the settings and cycle the tank on and off?

If you do make any changes, wait 15 to 20 minutes before testing the water temperature again. If you continue to have problems, make a repair request.

If your heating or air conditioning isn't working properly, check the controls on the central thermostat in your property. Does everything look accurate? Can you cycle the HVAC system off and back on again?

If you're unable to properly troubleshoot with the thermostat controls, make a repair request.
